halloween flashback

i know i'm a little late with this post, but i really wanted to share these past halloween photos...

bad day

ryan and i look feel a little like these two...



yes...we have absolutely nothing in our fridge/freezer

Yes...I got a pop out of the fridge this morning and it was warm

YEs...we took 4 garbage bags full of food to the dumpster

YES...I just went to the grocery store on the 15th and spent $100 on groceries (and it's only the 19th)

YES...all of our food was spoiled because our fridge wasn't working!!!

impressed

so when i was taking a break at work the other day, i was flipping through an OK! magazine very educational book and came across the wedding spread for disney channels Hilary Duff.

i fell in love with her wedding!!

#1: the bridesmaids dress

i love the color and shape at the top. her sister looked great!

#2: the cake

she chose to not use frosting on the outside of the cake. i look at it like an awesome pair of heels that kill your feet to wear them, but TOTALLY makes the outfit so you go with it anyway. the cake gives a vintage/homemade feel, but oh so romantic and beautiful!

#3: the decorations

the draping and lanterns above the tables were amazing! i own a couple vintage lanterns and love incorporating them into my home somehow.

(please excuse the poor photo....they look way better in person i promise!)

(random photo i found....but love the old trees with the lanterns hanging. totally my style and would have done those at my wedding in a heart beat, if it were outside)

overall i was impressed by her wedding. way to go lizzy mcguire!

SO happy

I just found out I passed the BOC which is the Athletic Training Certification test!!!!! I'm officially an ATC :) :) :)

I'm so glad I have family and friends who helped me get though this! This was such a big accomplishment and I wanted to share the news!!

not impressed

I am not impressed by the new Dancing With The Stars line-up.

I hate to admit it, but the only one I'm excited about is Mike "The Situation" from Jersey Shore.

Mike is on the left with Pauly D. (my favvvv) from Jersey Shore.

I'll keep you posted if someone catches my attention as the season begins!

ok, this is the last time, I PROMISE!


i've been trying out different websites for my photography business and have decided that having a blog will be the easiest. first of all i know how to navigate 'behind the scenes' WAY better using blogger than another other website and i will still be able to showcase my work under labels, have tabs for contact information and pricing, plus it will give me the opportunity to share thoughts or comments from the shoot.

i haven't posted all of my pictures yet, but wanted to officially introduce the site. thanks for putting up with me. enjoy!

we went to visit them again today and both are doing great!

tomorrow is the BIG day!! my friend chelsea is going in for a c-section at 7:15a and he should be here by 7:30a...so she says. i've known chelsea since kindergarten. it always seemed like when i went to school with 'big news' that my mom was having a baby, she came with the same news. she's such a great friend and i'm really excited for her and brian. about a week or two ago i did a maternity shoot for her and i've been anxious to share them. here are some of my favorites.

MN10 follow-up

Ok...here is the long overdue vacation post...

as you all know, the meiner family is pretty obsessed with a little town called pillager and a little lake called sylvan. its always a must needed trip.

some great life-long relationships have been built with our sylvan family. we celebrated two birthdays on saturday, for neighbors wayne and bobbie. (a little b-day shout out!) it was a beautiful day on the lake. (sorry, no pictures)

my camera got its workout mostly during our fishing trip, which included grandpa, dad, ryan, elizabeth, grace and me. this is when ryans luck began. i'm pretty sure he brought home 4 that night. he was a happy camper..

the girls were great help when the net was needed....although grace would yell "GET THE NET" for EVERY fish she caught, as if they were going to be keepers and we couldn't let them get away....hey a girl can dream!
