Superbowl is a big day for us because way back in the day (2004) our first date was a Superbowl party at 'non other than' our friend Daniels house! then 4 years later i was proposed to on Superbowl Sunday AND the theme of my bridal luncheon was Superbowl. I'm guessing you get the point...I hate football? Nope! I love it!!
our spread consisted of tacos, cookies, brownies, buffalo chicken dip, pickles wrapped in cream cheese and beef, smokies, and veggies. i brought the healthy buffalo chicken dip and the wrapped pickles....which by the way needs a better name than stating how I made them and every ingredient....someone at the party mentioned they are called snake meat (or that could have been the screwdrivers talking?...doesn't really sound like the title of a recipe card I would get from my grandma)
Daniels was the perfect place to spend a snowy day...he lives in the country and has one of those barns filled with lots and lots of toys....aka...snowmobile & four wheeler!
i was so happy my mexican friends could join us
we all thought Bridgestone had the best commercials, hands down.
sorry I can't display the video....here's the link (extended version) www.youtube.com/watch?v=beF0LTvbdfw

while I was in Pontiac I got to see eilzabeth play volleyball
so glad grace focused on the lady in the pink instead of her family...
the MANY faces of william
i'm sure i'll be getting a big THANK YOU text for posting those...
ryan had school and work on V-day, so we celebrated Sunday with a little Taco Bell To Go, while driving to Clinton to find each other gifts at the Antique Mall... i know, i know how romantic
i went home with some jewelry and a 1973 edition of Boggle, while ryan's treasures included a book about Adlai Stevenson and a batman belt buckle (not pictured)
that night my parents, siblings, grandma, aunt, and ryan & i went out for a V-day supper celebration. Rhys had to work, so that made our restaurant decision easy...off to Joe's we went! i didn't bring my camera, but i'll give you a little play by play of our night...
- we took 30 minutes to decide what to order, when it should have only taken 5 minutes because we always get a cheese and a pepperoni pizza...not sure why that night would have been different
- a couple fights broke out
- a pop was spilled
- rhys flashed us with his apron....twice
BUT something that I wasn't expecting was the Valentines Day gift from my dad. he passed out cards to mom, elizabeth, grace and i, and we were told to open them at the same time....
