To Do: Wedding Invitations

One of the biggest TO DO's on our list was making our wedding invitations. This was something I knew I wanted to make instead of buy. And after a little research we found this was going to be our cheapest route as well. (See dad, I'm saving you money!) So April 25th (and 26th) was spent making the one of a kind Meiner-Sweitzer Wedding Invitations.

We had a group of family/friends come on Saturday and then another group come on Sunday. With a few who helped both days (cough.....kym and grandma meiner.....cough) We sort of had an assembly line going. We had people cutting the brown paper, someone punching out the design on the reception card, someone cutting ribbon, someone threading the ribbon, others stuffing, and g-ma meiner addresses the envelopes.
Day 1:
Day 2:
We had some issues with the ribbon that was tied around the invite. We started with a satin brown.....ran out after raiding every craft store/wal-mart in the 40 mile radius....then went to a satin/sheer brown.....then green satin and green satin/sheer. So there are 4 different invitations, which as Ryan always says....Variety is the Spice of Life!

The Completed Invitations!!!!

Just want to say THANKS to everyone who helped with the invitations....from those on Saturday and Sunday, to those who helped find supplies! I really appreciate everything!!

Let the RSVP and guest count begin.......
